Acceptance of terms
By signing up or using BuildBasis, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Service description
BuildBasis is a construction cost estimating tool that turns historical project data into price estimates and client proposals. Optional features include QuickBooks budget sync, blueprint parsing, and JobTread export. The app is provided on an "as is" basis for business use.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old to use the app.
Your data
You retain ownership of the project data, P&Ls, blueprints, and estimates you upload or create. By uploading them, you give us permission to process, store, and display that data so we can provide the service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and share any customer or project information.
Acceptable use
You may not use BuildBasis to:
- Upload or share data you do not have the right to use.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the app or its APIs.
- Use the app for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
Optional integrations
QuickBooks, Google, and JobTread integrations are optional and governed by the terms and privacy policies of those services. We are not responsible for outages, data limits, or changes made by those third-party providers. You can disconnect an integration at any time.
Intellectual property
BuildBasis and its underlying code, designs, and trademarks are owned by Highline Homes LLC. You may not copy, resell, or distribute the app itself. Client proposals and estimates generated from your own data are yours to use for your projects.
Disclaimer of warranties
BuildBasis is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Estimates, budgets, and sync results are based on the data you provide and should be reviewed before use in contracts, bids, or financial decisions. We do not guarantee that the app will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Highline Homes LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or losses from reliance on estimates generated by the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you have not paid.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Highline Homes LLC from any claim arising from your use of the app, your data, or your violation of these terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Termination does not erase your obligations to pay amounts owed or sections that survive termination (liability, indemnity, etc.).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Kent County, Michigan.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of BuildBasis after changes means you accept the updated terms.
