Who we are

What data we collect
We collect only the information needed to run the app for you:
- Account information: email address, name, and authentication details when you sign in with email or Google.
- Project data: property details (square footage, beds, baths, grade, site complexity), cost-line totals, and P&L information you upload or enter.
- Uploaded files: PDF P&L reports and blueprint images you choose to upload.
- QuickBooks connection data: if you connect QuickBooks, we store an access token and refresh token to read project lists and Profit & Loss reports. Tokens are stored encrypted and are only accessible to our backend.
- Technical data: basic request logs and error reports needed to keep the app running.
How we use your data
We use your data to provide the estimating, budgeting, and historical analysis features of BuildBasis. Specifically, we:
- Generate cost estimates and client proposals from your project history.
- Sync budget vs. actual costs when you connect QuickBooks.
- Parse uploaded PDFs and blueprints to extract project details.
- Maintain and secure your account.
- Respond to support requests and fix errors.
Who processes your data
BuildBasis relies on the following service providers to host and operate the app:
- Lovable — platform hosting and deployment infrastructure.
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
- Google — optional sign-in authentication.
- Intuit / QuickBooks Online — optional accounting data sync.
- Google AI (Gemini) — optional parsing of uploaded PDFs and blueprints.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Security
Security is a shared responsibility. We use the controls provided by the platform and database providers, including encrypted storage, authenticated access, and row-level security policies. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and only uploading data you have the right to share.
Data retention
We keep your project data and uploaded files for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we generally remove it within 30 days unless a longer period is required by law. QuickBooks connection tokens are removed when you disconnect or delete your account.
Your rights
You can access, edit, or delete most of your data directly inside the app. You may also ask us to export, correct, or delete your information by emailing highlinehomesgr@gmail.com.
Cookies and analytics
We use authentication cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. We will post the updated date at the top of this page. If you continue using BuildBasis after the changes, you accept the revised policy.
